Five antique ormolu brass pediments with a lovely timeworn patina. Ormolu is a gold-coloured alloy of copper, zinc, and tin used in decoration and making ornaments. These beautiful pediments may have been used as decorative pieces in furniture and mirrors in the late 18th century, in grand homes and chateaus. If the furniture was damaged, these pieces were often removed and kept or used elsewhere. They are quite heavy. I have priced them individually.
24cm length x 11.5cm at widest point
Beautiful decorative ornaments to place on a shelf or even as part of a gallery wall to add a touch of gold.
